No. Customers scan a QR code and the menu opens directly in their phone's browser. No app store, no login, no friction.
Just a tablet or laptop for the admin panel and KDS. If you want printed receipts, you'll need an Epson network thermal printer (we can recommend models). Customers use their own phones.
We use Dojo for card payments — they're PCI compliant and widely used in UK hospitality. Payments are pre-authorised when the customer checks out, and captured when you accept the order. If you reject an order, the customer is automatically refunded.
Yes. Order Pad includes built-in Scottish alcohol licensing compliance. You can configure your licensed hours, and the system will block alcohol sales outside those times. Age verification is built into the checkout flow.
Most venues are live within a day. Send us your menu and we'll do the heavy lifting. You just review, print your QR codes, and go.
No contracts and no monthly fees. We charge a small percentage per order (3%, minimum £0.20). If you don't take orders, you don't pay anything.
